PAGADIAN
CITY: A Public Private Partnership (PPP) assessment survey was made on agri-enterprise
for Baganian Peninsula Cluster ARC, a new DAR release forwarded to this paper
said.
The
survey was made last Oct. 30 and 31by OIC Provincial AR Program Officer Arturo
Soria and the Korean Rural Community Corporation (KRCC).
The
said survey was made after the investment forum on agri - enterpise development
held in Davao last August where the
KRCC
showed interest for the proposed projects in Baganian Peninsula.
Rep.
Aurora Cerilles, said that such partnership unites the capability of
communities to improve its general living standards.
Also,
Gov. Antonio Cerilles expressed his full support to the undertaking, eliciting
the participation of nine out of the ten mayors in the said area.
KRCC
is under the Korean Ministry of Agriculture in Global Affairs with with highly
advance technologies for value – added products.
A
comparative advancement for coco, corn and banana production, processing and
technological milestones was then presented, followed by a consultation and
dialogue with the project stakeholders at the proposed project sites in Dinas,
Margosatubig and San Miguel, this province.
The
KRCC noted the low living standards of the populace, the high educational
levels, the rich and highly versatile human resources and very strong governance.
If
realized, the project will accelerate agricultural productivity, improve
marketing of commodities, enhance food security, combat poverty, create jobs
and spur economic growth for a more vibrant, technologically upgraded and
sustain the peninsula.
