PNP forms Task Force Pasungko

OROQUIETA CITY: A PNP task force for the 85th foundation anniversary, this month, is being formed to assure the safety of the public also with the 5th Pasungko Festival, a new release from the province said.

The working party, named “TF Pas’Ungko S’g MisOcc Festival 2014” will give security and safety measures during the month-long celebration, PNP Provincial Director S/Supt. Archival Diokno Macala said.

Under Macala’s command, the MisOcc Provincial Police Office (MOPPO) will likewise anticipate any violent acts that may possibly disturb the peace and order during the festival.

Various activities have been lined-up for the whole month by the provincial government, most of them around the Provincial Capitol Grounds, this city, and will display social and cultural practices of Misamisnons.

This year’s theme is “Pagpasalamat sa Kalambuan nga Naangkon sa Katawhang Misamisnon, a sort of gratitude for improvements received by the constituents.

A series of events like the 1st Mindanao Congress of the Liga Ng Mga Barangays (LnB), the selection of the Festival Queen and Street Dancing Showdown will highlight the affair.

A one-week trade fair set from November 3-9, will usher the celebration this year, showcasing the best products of its 17 LGUs in their respective booths.
