DAR turns over PAMANA projects in San Pablo

PAGADIAN CITY: The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), this province, turned over 27 Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan (PAMANA) projects under the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) to San Pablo recently, its new release said.

Led by Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer Arturo Soria and Mayor Belman Mantos, the   project recipients are the identified
agrarian reform area barangays of the municipality.

The said projects will benefit 2,719 AR Beneficiaries, 5,534 households and some 26,069 populace in San Pablo, Soria said

The projects included multi-purpose pavements and buildings, a fish port, gravelling of Farm to Market Roads (FMR), repaie and improvement of water systems, pathway concreting, perimeter fences, Day Care centers, classroom buildings and mechanical drier facilities, among others.

The completed projects are among the 166 projects in several barangays of six towns in Zambosur eyed for  OPPAP legacy in its peace, poverty reduction and people empowerment under PAMANA.

RD-9 Julita Ragandang, also said that the recipients should properly maintain, take care and sustain these projects.

Meanwhile, Mantos said he is grateful to DAR and OPAAP for the realization of these projects as these will stop internal conflicts in his town and alleviate their poverty.

PAMANA said they will keep on providing more infrastructures to promote unity to resolve conflict and build peace in the countryside.
