PAGADIAN
CITY: Traffic violators may soon learn a lot about wasting time after being
required to attend a half day lecture on proper rules and regulation in road
interchange.
This
is because this city’s PNP Traffic Section made it mandatory to all arrested
violators of any traffic infraction to attend a road ethics seminar.
This
includes the motorized tricycle drivers and their operators applying or renewing
their franchises.
PNP
Chief Supt. Glenn Dulawan said traffic violators need to be educated on the city
traffic ordinances being implemented.
Police
Inspector Harry Ratunil Velez of the Traffic Office will do the instruction every
Friday after lunch, Dulawan added.
It
was learned that most of those arrested violated the ordinance requiring muffler
installation and silencers on vehicle exhaust system.
Since
August, a total of 258 mufflers not permitted to be installed were confiscated
by the PNP Traffic Division.
Twenty
participants per session attended the half day seminar after they were caught
committing violation of traffic rules and regulations along the city streets of
this city, City Police Official said.
