PAGADIAN
CITY: One of the province’s prime water source is finally a recipient of the
government’s Bottom Up Budgeting (BUB) for water project financing program.
Mayor
Lorna S. Espina said the DILG made its turn-over ceremony last Nov. 3, the
expansion Level II led by Regional Director Paisal O. Abutazil and attended by
local officials and 10 village chieftains who were direct beneficiaries of the
newly-completed water project.
Espina
said this was a first in her administration having a project grant of P14 million
as she urged the beneficiaries to work hand in hand to improve and not waste
the investment on the provision of potable water.
Abutazil
also applauded the local government for an easy implementation of the project,
announcing that Mahayag passed the Seal of Good Housekeeping (SGH) for 2012.
Passing
the SGH means complying disclosures of transparency and accountability in
public financial documents and has no adverse COA findings thus it is unrestricted
to implement any local projects funded by the national government.
