DTI awards Bagwis distinction to Ozamiz businesses

OZAMIZ CITY: The trade and industry department (DTI) in the region conferred the “Bagwis” Seal of Excellence to 11 business institutions of this city during the Consumers’ Month finale, the PIA reported.

This number represented almost 41 percent of the total number of the Bagwis seal awardees in the region where one was conferred the Gold while 14 got silver and 12 were for bronze, Delia M. Ayano, DTI provincial director said.

Bagwis seal of excellence was formerly called the DTI seal of certified establishment and is awarded to businesses that practiced fair trading and endorse consumer rights and welfare.

Recognized by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the ASEAN Committee on Consumer Protection (ACCP), it gives due recognition to entrepreneurs for being responsible in their business operations.

All the Bagwis awardees came from Ozamiz City, of whom six were conferred silver, and the remaining got the bronze Seal.
